“titankata deneskata picvajzajkata napravenkata” - that how it sounds in wicked Macedonian the titan ruled today

but let’s start from the beginning. So we are landing in Rio, Marcus waits us, Djoka arrived one hour before, we all take a sip or two of rakija and strait to the hotel. We take a rooms, drink another glass of rakija, Djoka and Markus went to buy roof rack for the rented car which is too small for four bulls like us and you can only imagine how much of equipment four bulls can carry.
Aha – why rent a car? Don’t ask. It’s a long story.
Anyway, Djoka and Markus both the rack, we get the gliders packed and strait to the hill. What a place is Rio, man...
So, Rio. I’ll try to get a picture for you. You fly between two volcano rocky mountains and you land on the beach – spectacular – I just can think of enough words to describe the feeling. Fantastic.
So, we take off, Djoka, me and Markus. Sander wants to save his foot from trouble. He’s got broken little finger and I had hard time to make him join us on this trip. We hook on a big rock down near the see and soar. Another bunch of paragliders and hangliders took off, joined us for a while and than landed, but me and Djoka are like monkeys on a tree – we just don’t wanna land.

We finally landed and went strait for some BBQ and than strait for some beer and than while wandering what to do next I heard myself saying – “hej there was some kind of carnival around here”. YEAH, tonight is the best night. So what we are waiting for, let’s go??? What a night, what a carnival, man. Just crazy and we went crazy!!! At 4.30 in the morning we had to leave, exhausted.

The day after, slowly we get together, pack the gliders and 5, 6 huge bags in our VW Jetta. Meanwhile the car alarm brakes down, the horn and 4 turn lights go on like crazy. Djoka and Marcus try to fix the alarm while I edit some photos to send to the newspapers.
4 PM. The car is fairly demolished (cables and wires cut, the battery is out, all sensors out, take out this, dismount that) but the stupid turn lights just won’t go off. Never mind. We get in and hit the road.

After two hours and only 100 km passed the turn lights go off. But the engine starts to cough. Probably the gas is bad or maybe one cylinder doesn’t work. We have only 600 km left. Piece of cake!

5 AM – Valadarez. We found a hotel and passed out.

9 AM – Sander set up three alarms to wake us up. Marcus got up even earlier, went to return the VW Jetta leftovers and took his huge pick up truck, which by the way was supposed to be in Rio when we got there.

We got the gear and strait to the take off place. The sky is covered and the Brazilian Open second task is cancelled. Well, we say, we are here so lets fly. I take off with Marcus. He instantly goes down. I try to catch something around – and after a while I am 400 m above the start in the cloud base. I decide to go cross country and yell to Djoka on the radio to join me. While he reached me the sky closed again. After one hour we realize that everybody went down. Me and Djoka again catch a thermal 100 m above the LZ and make a mirror. What a feeling. If this was a bad day I can only imagine the flying in a good day...

Finally we got surrounded by CBs and we have to land. The beer tasted good after that. All in all, great day with many more to come...
